BIOGRAPHY
Çağıl Cansu Şanlıdağ is a pianist recognized for her expressive power and virtuosity.
She began her music education at the age of seven at the Dokuz Eylül University
State Conservatory in İzmir. After completing her high school education, she
continued her studies at the Royal Conservatories of Mons and Brussels under Dalia
Ouziel and Aleksandar Madzar. She completed her postgraduate program at the
Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna with Markus Hadulla.
Şanlıdağ has performed as a soloist with prestigious ensembles such as I Musici
Bruscellencis, the Presidential Symphony Orchestra of Northern Cyprus, and the
Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra. Her performances have garnered great acclaim for
her technical mastery and ability to convey deep emotions.
Continuing her career through recitals across Europe, particularly in Brussels,
Florence, Paris, and Vienna, Şanlıdağ has participated in various concerts and
festivals such as the Musicorum Festival, the International Northern Cyprus Music
Festival, the Festival des Dames, the Traces Festival, the Music Chapel Festival, the
Concerts de Midis in Brussels, BxlSurScène, Conservamus, and the Knokke Music
Festival.
In addition to her performance career, Şanlıdağ actively collaborates with Philippe
Graffin on the unpublished works of Ysaÿe and has worked alongside esteemed
artists such as Anne Gastinel, Jeroen Reuling, and Olsi Leka during their
masterclasses.
On an international level, she has played an active role in prestigious competitions
such as the Markneukirchen International Instrumental Competition, the Grumiaux
Competition, and the Buchet International Cello Competition.
In addition to her artistic projects, Şanlıdağ works as a lecturer at the Near East
University in Cyprus. She has given masterclasses of piano and chamber music at
various organizations, including the Gümüşlük Academy and the International Music
Academy Forte. The artist is currently working intensively to complete her solo
album, which will be released under the Pavane Records label.
